Red Mountain Elementary school opened in 1998.  Mrs. Betty Barnum was the principal.  She retired in 2013.  Mrs. Amy Mitchell was selected to replace Mrs. Barnum.  Mrs. Mitchell served as principal for 5 years.  She then moved to the district office to serve as the district Title I director.  Mrs. Jenny Leavitt is currently the principal of Red Mountain.  She has been principal since 2018.  Some notable accomplishments at Red Mountain are 2010 National Distinguished Title I school and Title I Coordinator Mr. Jay Porter being selected as a “National Life Changer of the Year” finalist.
